Vendo 56 Plexiglas

Does anyone know how to tell if the Plexiglason a Coke Vendo 56 roundtop is original? The Plexiglas on a machine I'm looking at is about 1/2" thick and the door screws are drilled into the Plexiglas. The Plexiglas is also pretty clear looking.

        Most roundtop 56's have a solid selection door. The few made with glass were just like the 81....outside panel was glass, both inside were plexiglass, and all were 1/16" thick.
        The machine you are looking at was modified by someone who didn't know where to obtain the proper inside glass retainers or gasketing.
