Anyone know how I can remove the part with the flavor selections from a vendorlator 165? The pepsi logo is upsidedown for some reason and I want to fix it. I also want to repaint the red part. Thanks Alex

I sure hope you put as much time and effort into your studies as you do that Pepsi Machine! Have you had the RA come in to check it for contraband (alcohol)?

They have both been in here but they love the thing I did find a beer in it when I first opened it up but we threw that down the garbage chute before anyone saw it. The RAs actually told us we should sell pop to people on our floor.

Ok I got one more question. There is a residue on the plastic selection windows kind of looks like electrical tape was there at one time. Anyone know how to remove it and still be abel to see through the window? I can't see the bottle caps too well.

If it's tape residue, a product called Goo Gone works pretty well to get off old adhesive.

It'll probably wipe off with a rag, but if you spray it on and let it sit for a few, it'll take off just about any old residue.

They have an 8 oz, or matbe 12 oz spray bottle, if you don't have a lot of stuff to clean, I'd go with the small bottle, dab it on with a cloth, let it soak, then wipe. reapeat as needed.

Will this get scotch tape off of aluminum too? I just found some that has been on there for a long time. Also you can find this stuff pretty much anywhere right?

Yea, I think Walmart carries it, along with many other stores. Easy to find and works well!

Which department in WalMart would one find it ? I don't shop WalMart too often and I don't like clomping around in their huge buildings trying to find what I need.

I try to avoid them as well, but we don't have much else down here in this little town!
I believe it can be found in the area with the household cleaners/waxes/etc. If not, check around the automotive stuff.

I think Lowes and the Home depot would have it too. I saw it on their website so they might have it in the store.

Lowes' has it, at least the one in my town. Walmart has it near the paint, check the aisle with drop cloths, painter's tape etc.

Ok I have another question. how do I replace the cord on the machine? I see where it goes into the machine but I do not know how to unhook it so I can hook up a new one.

I think it might be the same type of machine. Does it have the S shaped tracks inside? I think the only difference is that you have the Vendo version and I have the Vendorlator one. But since Vendo owned Vendorlator when they made these machines I think they just used the same machine and put a different brand on it. They are a great machine. I really like the coca-cola sign on the top.

I'm still learning it so I will have to get back to you on the tracks. We've had snow here since the day I brought it home so I haven't gotten to tinker too much yet. I hope to repaint the red on the Coke sign in the top but will have to see what the crew here says regarding tips for that.

Here is what the inside of mine looks like. The tracks are set up in an "S" and I think that was to allow more cans to fit inside the machine and still have the machine be short. I really need to take some pictures of the insides of my machine of what it looks like all cleaned up.
