What is a complete descent ideal 55 embossed pepsi double dot worth? I found one thats not too far from me. I always thought they were worth a lot more than the single dot but I have heard otherwise here. Are they more valuable or more collectable.

Josh,

I don't know for sure but I would think with the rack, coin mech, lid stays and cap catcher you would have close to that price in parts.  It appears to be very complete and is not dented up.

Wish I knew more.  There have been some recent posts on difficulty restoring if you are removing the tub.  I believe that I have seen some posts as to parts values in the recent past as well.  You may want to search the discussion area on Ideal 55 and see what you come up with.

He says it needs "cooling stuff". Why did it leak out and where? Could be a tough fix if the leak is in the cooling lines inside the liner.
Maybe bid the $250.00 minimum and if you get it............. fine, if not, there are a lot more!

I would say the value of the double vs. single dot are about the same. Double is cool because it is, well, double dot but the logo is smaller then that of a single dot. The single dot logo fills the space better. As for it being older so it is worth more, not really a big deal. Both are old enough. The Vendo 81A is older then both the B and D but nobody wants the A more because it's "older."

I would probably get it for $350.00. And a three hour drive can be enjoyable. You never know what else you may find along the way.

Good luck

I am working on it. I want it but it just depends on if he will wait until January. I already have two road trip for when I get home so I don't know if I need any more. I have the transitional Vendorlator 81 at Tim's in Michigan and I bought a Cavalier CS-64G in Covington Ky. I want to make a fantasy machine out of it. I was thinking Mountain Dew.
