What is the difference between the "low style" and "high style" coin mechanisms on Ideal sliders?  Have you found one style easier to work with or easier to find?

I understand the difference in appearance of the two styles, but was trying to figure out whether certain machines were equipped with a certain style.  Is one style older or something?

Hi there
I hope I am in the right area for my question?
I recently picked up a ideal slider machine at a auction the badge on it says the model number is A55B I tried the coin mechanism on it and the dime goes in just fine but the nickel always wants to follow the dimes path I was wondering if anybody on here might know what is wrong or a picture that might help me see if I might be missing parts.
