Remove the 'E' Clip at the right end of the Empty Lever rod. Pull the rod out to the left and get each Empty Feeler, Spacer and Empty Lever Spring (six of each). Put the 'E' Clip in a baggie with part # and a picture #.

Remove the 4 Selector Plate Positioner screws (2 plates (L/R) and 2 screws on each). Notice that the left screw on the left positioner is different from the other three - it has an Internal Tooth Washer. The Selector Rail is loose now.

The Selector Rail has two screws that somewhat retain it- they are screwed into the top of the mechanism body and appear to hold nothing.

Remove the four bolts (two on each side) that hold the back plate to the mechanism frame. Remove the back plate and separators. That's it - send everything to be plated and then reverse the steps to reassemble. Good Luck!
