Comments: The Vendo 39 is probably the most recognized soda machine Vendo manufactured. It's still quite common to find due to Vendo producing over 80,000 of them! The V-39 came in three versions. The original has "Ice Cold" embossed along the bottom of the cabinet door and the cabinet has only two ventilation vents on either side. Around 1955, when Coca-Cola adopted the two-tone paint scheme of red with a white top, the cabinet door dropped the embossed "Ice Cold" logo and opted for their "Vendo" logo in the lower right corner. The cabinet also changed by adding additional vents on either side. During the last couple of years, Vendo dropped all embossed lettering on the lower part of the cabinet door. It was also during this time that Vendo equipped some models with a vending drum that could vend the larger 12oz bottles by loading them bottlecap first instead of the traditional method of bottlecap out.
