Didn't sell at the garage sale so now they have offered it to me for $300.

Don't know yet if the racks are inside or what the inside looks like but they say it runs good, cools good, and they have the key.

As always any in put is very welcome!

mech is worth $150-200, the cap catcher is $50-75.... if the rack is there Then it's definantly worth that!
Hope it is and you can get it!

Its worth it any way you look at it  (Parts Machine or to use every day) the coin mech is there  and if it's not working right you can have collecture (Tom) work on it for you .

That seems like a pretty fair price. This one keeps getting listed for $200 with no takers and it doesn't work.

It looks like a pretty clean and straight machine. Has it been repainted? It looks like most of the work has already been done. Go for it.

I would jump on that right away! I think the 7up Ideal 55 is the best looking of the ideal line. It looks like the paint is nice. If the paint is as nice as the pic looks you may be able to just do the embossing and have a nice machine. If it were me buying I wouldn't care if it had the rack. Their usability is what makes these machines so nice. You can use it as another refrigerator. Just open the lid and reach in. It can put anything you want in it.

Thanks for the input guys, it seemed like a deal to me. I think I saw the decal for the embossing at
funtronics maybe. The big thing is that if the seller is being honest it cools and seems to be in really good shape.

I asked if the rack is there and what shape it's in on the inside...

even the stainless front edge looks perfect in the picture. The seller says  they have had the machine for over 15
years but have no space in there current house.

Thanks again for sharing your expertise.

I'd go for it, if th paint is as nice as it looks, all you have to do yet is the logo and it's done... racks I don't think are neccessary like another member said.. they are great to use as as reach in cooler for cans, bottles, juicboxes.. you name it..

i agree but the racks add value and historical correctness.

If I were to use the machine I'd take the racks out. My mother in law remembers when these machines were very common
and told me you were as like as not to get nothing for your money...

Thanks for the in put!
