Yeah I just looked up the VMC 27 and like the look of it.  Pretty neat.  Slider looks cool too.  Anyone have one these they are looking to unload!?!?

That clock looks really nice. 1940's I think. My first thought was maybe $450 or so, but I haven't been tracking signs too much lately.

Try a slider, they're small.  The Cornelius Compact 50 is small and affordable.  You can find them for around a hundred bucks or less.

I just spent a few days working on my Cornelius. I'll start a thread showing it in the post 60's section. Here is a pic of it (upside down)

Clock is late 40's , very cool, and yours is the more rare square clock version, most are round clocks, other varieties includeing a waterfall display and another has a spinning sign in place of the clock that says "Pause" on it.  These used to bring big bucks, I know I've paid more than 450 for mine several years ago, but now prices are dropping... I was going to say value of 650 or so, but it's been a while since I've bought/sold signs.. just havea bunch hanging on the walls.
Nice stuff!

Yeah I got lucky with the clock.  It was on craigslist and the guy had no idea about it.  The clock belonged to his son that moved away and left it in his garage.  It wasn't working and he did not know why, so he sold it to me for $50.  I couldn't believe it.  All it needed was a new power cord.

Now my search moves forward.  It's time for one of those little VMC 27's to turn up.  I can feel it coming.
