I found a pair of these for sale and want to know if these are collectable. Being that they are 1 cent tells me that they are old but they look quite new. Is there any value to these? I can get them at $50 each and they are local. Do these vend the small Hershey's single candy bars that are still available. I would only want one and I would be buying it for my dad as he is a chocolate fanatic. Are they collectable or not much. Its different looking thats for sure.

I'm not sure how collectible these are but fifty doesn't all expensive...
I have an N.O.S., in the box, one that I purchased a few years back for fifty...

Josh

they come up on Ebay on a very regular basis...
Price varies. Sometimes I see them go for $99.00 sometimes more but
I would say $50 each is a good price... Not sure what size bars they take.

Roger at crowriver does the decal set if those on the machine are not any good...

I have been looking for one for a long time but shipping is quite expensive I think
they weigh a bit.. Will have to wait until I'm over your side of the world again before
I bring one home...
They sit hand in hand with my Northwesterns...

Dave,

Do you want one of them at $50? I can hold it at my Mom's until your ready for it. Its small so it could stan in a box in the basement for as long as you want. If not no problem. I just wanted to offer.

The select O Vends vended the 1950's sized chocolate and gum.  The new sized chocolates don't work.  I haven't tried mine in years.  I don't remember if the chocolate was too wide, thick, or long.  Andes candies fits and Bazooka bubble gum.

They are neat machines.  Spin the carousel, put the penny in, pull the lever.  $50.00 is a good price for one.  I paid $100.00 for mine.

I actually put mine on Ebay yesterday for $99.00.  One sold , last week, for $200.00.  But the black looked flawless.  Usually that would be the area that rusts a little.

Josh,
I have one as well. Modern bars won't fit due to length. I got as far as a paper pattern to make a new chutes/wheel assembly that would be 5 selection but vend current mini candy bars. Not hard but you would need a good metal brake and spot-welder. Plus the elusive time envolved. Think I paid $35 but that was a few years ago.
