Hi.. I recently bought a Vendo Coke machine, but can't quite identify it. I have a picture here. The only thing I can find that MIGHT be a model number is a tag on the right side. It says: VE-29. Since I can't find any info on this model, I assume I'm wrong. The serial number (as far as I can tell) is: 2019168. If you need anymore pictures, I can get them to you. Any info would be appreciated...

Well it's a Vendo machine for sure, the trim is missing around the outer edge of the front, but it gives a clue that it was a Coke machine earlier in it's life, then repainted white & made into "Pic a Pop" brand vendor, probably a can vendor '> looks like it had three buttons the larger one was usally for Coke & two others for alternate flavors, any info on that paper tag on the inside of the door? It'll probably take any 110 volt coin mech. are there verticle rack's inside or what? Hmmm

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

The inside of the door has all of the wiring diagrams, but no clue as to the model. I have 2 coin mechs for it, one original, and one newer one that can take quarters also... As to the racks inside, It can dispense either cans or bottles. All you do is adjust the rack to hold the right size. That sticker you see on the inside of the cooled area is loading instuctions, and how to change from cans to bottles. I'm told it makes an excellent beer fridge.

Yes, I have the trim. I took it off for re-painting. The machine works VERY well. The refrigeration unit works great, and the compressor is quieter than my kitchen fridge. '>
Does anyone have any ideas as to the year it was made?

Jess , It look's like 1959- 1962 . That is great that your going to repaint it , Do you plan on restoring it or just a new paint job. Drop a photo when it is done so all of us can see it.

I'm just going for a paint job right now. I've removed the scratches and gouges from the sides and front, and will be painting it the original red, I think. As to any other restoration, I need top find some parts, such as what the original illuminated sign looked like, and some new lenses for the selection panel. One is cracked, and the other has permanent marker on it. Other than that, there's not much I have to do to it. It was in servicee up until a few months ago, dispensing cold drinks to the public. Any suggestions as to what I could do for restoration otherwise?
