moving my coke machine

I am about to move. Can anyone give me tips on what is the best way to limit any damage and is there any procedure I should follow?

New member and would appreciate any insight.

You can lay it down in the back of your truck/SUV, but just don't plug it back in until it has sat upright for 24 hours allowing the compressor oil to settle. If using a moving van, you can leave it upright and blanket wrap it using the tie-down rails. Careful not to cinch it down too tight over the coin door (if you have an older round top model with a protruding coin door). I usually have one rope around the bottom half and another up high.

i like to first put a soft sheet over machine, then a moving blanket over the sheet, then get a roll of shrink wrap and go around the machine a few times to make it very tight. I move a lot of machines and this way works great, you can stand up or lay down this way, jeff wolf

I totally agree with Mr. Wolf. He knows what he is doing. If possible it is always better to lay it down. These machines tip over very easily. I found out the hard way once. I had several machines on a trailer and had a Cav55 fall onto a freshly painted V56.
