Must have had one of those new environmentally friendly C4 compressors!  But that's why it's called soda POP I guess.  a:tounge:

Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor

Kinda along the same lines ( potentially explosive soda machines) they now have on the market a refrigeration unit for vending machines that uses liquid CO2 as the coolant (as opposed to freon/puron), the high side pressure will be 1750 PSI typically, talk about a disaster waiting to happen!

Here is a link that shows the pressure to temp chart for CO2/R744 , mind you that this is for the "low-side" of the system http://www.mmrefrigeration.com/co2compressor.html

WOW if your pop gets stuck don't shaking the machine it could be deadly.... speaking of deadly  I have a
 WARNING!!! Here's what happen

I almost wound up as a story on the show TV a 1000 way to die, I think I would have been # 999.....  I had the back of my Police Trainer open and was using a can of 3M dust removed to clean off the chassis and tube when all of a sudden I must have got a big lung full on the stuff that was probably built up in the cabinet  and couldn't breath, so I ran out side for some fresh air,  later I read the can,  it's the same kind I have been using for years and it said buried under "do not throw in a open flame"....".Can cause instant DEATH !"  Oo Nice to know now!   Ray

That canned air is some nasty stuff. Especially now that they added a bittering agent to them to make kids not want to get high off them. I used that in my dorm room to blow the dust out off the condenser and that bittering agent made the cans at the bottom taste nasty and I could not get that taste out of my mouth for a long time.
