Well I just bought my first machine in several years. I had someone email me from an old post when I lived in Florida on Colamachines.com. It is being picked up tomorrow morning by NAVL. It is in Jacksonville and it is going to my grandpa's in Indianapolis. I think this machine will be my Dad's but we will see. I have posted pics. This machine was handed down from his grandpa. It had been in his garage for a long time. Once I bought the machine I asked if he had anything else and he had a bottle thermometer. I went ahead and got it for $50. What a deal. I will let you know more once it is in my possession.

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Nice score Josh! Welcome to club 44! Having just acquire one, I can attest that they are pretty neat little machines.

The best part of this story is that he stole this machine from half way around the globe. Way to go Josh Remember when we used to call him the Coke machine magnet?

Congrats on the awesome deal! does that mean you are coming home soon? I can't see how work is going to be productive knowing you got that sitting in a garage waiting for you.. Does your fiance have interest in it?

I sure wish I was coming home soon. This machine will sit next to my transitional 56 at my grandpa's. He is the one I am advertising for moving machines. He loves these machines so he doesn't mind storing them for me. If the 44 isn't too bad and if it works he may put it in his house.
Jeab likes just about anything. She is the easiest person to get along with that I have ever known. We have been together for over two years and we have never had what I would call a fight. I even think she will like getting her hands dirty working on them with me. It will be fun.
I did get a good deal on this machine but he set the price. I didn't give him a low offer like that. He actually started at $350 and I told him that was too low and said I would give $450 and he was delighted. And then I got the thermometer with it for $50. I think that was a good deal also for a big original thermometer.
