I have some experience with fridges, timers, stats, defrost heaters etc..
A friend of mine had a two-door cooler in his store that would have to be unplugged one day a week (Sunday) to defrost. I cleaned the condensor coil and made sure the water had something to drain into ( was getting the floor wet ).  Are these systems close enough to a home fridge to have similar timers, df stats and heaters?  The fans seem to have been working properly.

most newer coolers have built in defrosters, especially if it is a "True" or "Beverage Air" cooler ,which would include coolers up to one's produced in the early 1990's. if it is not of those two brands you may have a bad defrost timer '<img'>

I think this one was one of the two brands you listed.  I had forgotten about posting here about this machine and could not get here through my email notice.  I had to use the site url and search your name to find the post.

Anyway, what is meant by built-in timers?  Can't be changed without replacing a major component?

Tx

P.S  I had also forgotten about registering here and had to think of my password. '<img'>  (And screen name)
