Well I found a local source here in the Saginaw/Flint area for Pepsi in 12oz. Glass Bottles! (also Coke in the 12oz. Glass bottles too) it's from ElPaso TX & Bottled for sale in Mexico, (guess the locals don't like the taste of plastic) my source say he may be able to get Squirt (in a retro style swirl green bottle) & Orange Crush (in a retro-style ribbed glass 12oz.) also will keep you posted.  ':<img:'>
and yes, I bought two cases of each & they are De-lishush!  ':p'

That is a good score!!
I've seen Coke, Pepsi and Crush in bottles (attached pic) in Panama, 50 cents.

The South America Crush bottles are far superior to the Wall Mart version. Label is printed on not a sticker. Under Crush it reads "contenido neto 10onz". 12 ounce bottle though, never have figured out what the "onz" units are.

If you get a chance see if any glass Mountain Dew is available. Thanks!!

Hello Everyone,

I am new to most of this, so I apologize for not having said earlier, what I am about to say now.  I collect coke bottles, and have found that at many market places that are directed toward the populace from Hispanic counties, carry supplies of soda pops bottled in various South American and Caribbean countries.  Some of the brands I have never heard of, others are versions of popular American flavors.  Many are in bottles, the size and style of which are no longer carried here in the States.  Often the bottles show lots of case wear from being recycled and refilled possibly hundreds of times.  You will recognize the size, color, shape, and logo, but may not be able to read the rest of the printing.  If there are any areas near you that cater to migrant workers, or concentrations of nationalities, look for the local markets, farmers markets, or flea markets.  If this observation helps anyone find a near by source of the style or brand of bottles they want, Great.

You really can't beat the WalMart prices on the Crush bottles.  I can buy Orange, Strawberry, or Grape Crush 12 oz. bottles for $2.50 a six pack.  IBC too.  I checked into having different sodas shipped off a website, but shipping doubled the cost.

This is what you get from WalMart.  It is nice to have an alternative that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Here's a composite of what I get from my local guy,
(and I [/U] don't [/U] pay excessive shipping ethier!) he brings it up from Texas with his other shipments of stuff, my
guest really enjoy the retro look of the bottles they grew up with at the family picnics! I know certain web-based sodapopshop guys have been threatend with lawsuits by local (U.S.) Pepsi bottlers for selling Pepsi in glass on the web,
the big guys aren't using there marketing smarts when it comes to this, when you get a bunch of baby-boomers with old/classic soda machines what do they thing we're going to want to put into them? they ought to see this a nice specialty market. in the mean time, the little guy's are running around the "road-blocks" they put up to protect their markets
from competition (they don't get it do they? HEY!!! it tastes better in glass!!!  PS.. they should flush all that corn-syrup & use cane/beet sugar too!!! but then what would we do with all that subsitised corn on the market Hmmm.  ':p'  oh-well so much for NAFTA & free trade... OK I'm off my soap box..later

That's great!  I haven't found a place around here that carries bottles like that, but wish I could.  That Squirt bottle is cool.

Attention Glass bottle soda-searchers!  Michigan Area residents...COSTCO has FAYGO in a retro-style 8oz glass bottle! a case goes for aound $10.00
you get six of each; Red-Pop (strawberry soda) Grape, Orange Creme, and Kiwi-Strawberry get 'em while their hot '<img'>
(of course they taste better out of a FAYGO VF56 machine, ':<img:'> this ones my baby, 1st. machine I ever bought! I saved it from scrap 'cause it reminded my wife of the same one she used to get soda out of at her grandpa's service station. still running (dispite power blackouts) after 5years & dozens of neighborhood kids (including mine!) it's always on (running on generator power if needed, hey you got to keep your priorities straight  '<img'> ) lighting up the garage with it's friendly glow! stock up now before I buy 'em out!
