Prior to this post I had never heard of Pelco, certainly is rare. Although lids would certainly be easy to fabricate, it's difficult to see from the picture how they would slide over/under each other? Looks like someone has used stripper to remove the paint, if you can't get around to restoring it for a while, it may be wise to primer it or wrap it with plastic so the rust doesn't get to it first. When you do get it restored I'm betting Jim is going to ask you for a photo to replace the one you found in the Soda machines section. Nice find!

Yea I will take it to work and spray some acid etch prime on it until I can get to it . The guy said at some point the lid was replaced with wooden one's , not sure about the lid if I would have any luck finding the kind that slide .

I wonder if any of the 60's model Bevco, etc. coolers with sliding lids could be made to work? They are fairly inexpensive still.

Not familiar with the way the lids mount on these . Right now it has a rubber seal and the lid lays recessed on top ? What ever you guy's think would work to put her back to original . The help would be greatly appreciated . I also wanted to ask if anyone has restored one of theses ? I haven't messed with it in fear of going ahead and starting the restoration but it looks to me that you can undo the corners and a few screws here and there and each panel comes off . Like its build around the liner and frame making easy paint work . Like I said if you guy's can help with the lid that would be great I also need a cap catcher and bottle opener , The liner may also need to be replaced the one in it could be use but is badly pitted . I'm sure a metal shop could remake one . Thanks

Does it look like there was a sliding top on there at one time? Or does it look like a Westinghouse Standard or Junior with flip top lids? Does the lid area look modified? Post a pic of where the lid meets the liner. Maybe it originally had flip top lids?

The cooler Glen posted for $50....I'd contact and ask them if they could messure the cooler lid area and the lids .... for $50 that would be a deal.... and just see if they'd sell & send the lids. Or if Joey's contact could measure their lids they may fit..... looking good...you have 2 leads already on lids also they make a cap cather for the westinghouse cooler if the supports are the same distance that would work and just buy a NEHI star opener from eBay... Unbelievable condition... Also a AC guy could bend and break you a new tub. again awesome find! doubt another one of those show any time soon... You're gonna be a Nehi collector now

The liner and seal look untouched other than some silver spray bomb . The seal goes over the linner and under the body . The lid just lays on top like the Westinghouse standard . It looks like a plain tub , no slide mounts . I will get picks tonight .
