Some of you may remember this 56 as a $25.00 meat smoker on ebay, well the smoke stack has been filled in, the coin door area cut out and a Vendo 80 recessed coin mech area welded in. The lower door was cut and used as a firebox door. The lower compartment where the compressor would normally go was used for the actual fire itself. All in all a very rough Vendo 56. Im building this machine for a local vending route thing and this is the first machine ive done the bodywork and painted myself. It turned out ok, It still looks better than when I brought it home.

Wow Joey That really looks good. What made you decide to indent the coin door area? Was the other damaged? Good luck with the vending route. I really think that will go over well.

Thanks guys, I decided to use the V80 coin door as not as much of a door will stick out. I already had The V80 with coin door and I didnt want to sacrifice a Large door with the crank handle hole. I'll post more pics as it goes together. Not show quality by any means but will be nice for outside main street.

Some updated pictures, Thanks again Johnie for your help, the vending side is now working like a champ. On the main door liner it is custom made. main door latch has been relocated. alot of work but hopefully will be done tommorow.

Very nice save Joey,
I like the recessed look. Did the bent coin release line up ok with the electric mech?
Interesting project. Thanks for sharing!!

Looks great! Good work. That will be a great money maker once it is in business. How much are you going to charge for soda's? Just so you know HAPP sells bill mech housings on their website. you could mount it on the side of your machine and use a coin mech that works with a dollar mech so it can take dollars. the problem with selling soda out of these old machines is no one carries $1 or more in change in their pockets.

Joey here is the link and a pic of what I am talking about. It will hurt the looks of the machine but I bet it will more than triple your sales
