OK I thought I should make the thread for this machine since I haven't seen one and being on the Bord makes it last " forever". So I got this machine about 1 year ago from a friends; family friend( did that make since) LOL . And I bought it for a whopping 10 bucks from the guy. The machine had been in his possession at his old business since it was new and then I became the second owner. The machine itself is 72 x 32w x 30.5deep and weighs 780 lbs. The machine has 2 compressors one to cool the syrup and water coils which actually are in a water bath( interesting eh). And the other compressor is for the ice machine. It consumes 800 watts. The capacity of the machine is 1400 10 oz cups and holds syrup for 2900 cups. It has 7 selections for syrups and can dispense a drink with or without ice. The machine fully lights up along with the cup area too. Oh yea and the best part the price for this model I have ( the 7 selection) was 2095.00 LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL uhhhhh that was a bit of $$$$ in the early 60's The other model which looked the same but only had 4 selections retailed for a mere 1895.00. I will add some more pictures in the next few days once I can get some more. PAT if you are reading this, can I attach the potential calendar picture I sent to this for everyone to see or are you wanting to keep those pictures " under wraps" for the calendar? Just let me know

Below are the pictures for this machine many of them are before and after of the cleaning process. Most of the grunge on this machine was nicotine staining. And thankfully after finding a good cleaning product it basically cleaned itself. And that magical product was/ is Windex. So after a complete bottle of it I had a clean machine to look at. I tried everything to clean that Grime and I just happened to think Eh why not Windex and sure enough it worked great. Other then the dirt the machine is in I think Great shape considering its age and the fact that it was in a commercial business.

When I started in the vending business in 1985, these machines were common place. Haven't been in one for years but sure do remember them. The ice makers were sometimes troublesome and that insulation could be a pain but otherwise they were a work horse. Somewhere I have a full color ad showing the different marquees that these could have. If I find it I will post a picture of it.

Vend Dr, Do you have any other materials on this machine? I am interested in anything related to this beast. Also any ideas why they went with a mini waterbath to cool the carbonator instead of a dry setup? Only thing I can see missing from this machine is the cover for the waterbath carbonator area. As for the insulation the orig owner said its a PAIN to take off and on. But I suspect I will have to do just that to clean the ice maker since I am not sure if he ever drained it. Or I may just run it and just dump out a wad of the beginning ice that could be " old water"....... wish I could find the matching coffee machine too
