81B Bottle door glass

I am putting the bottle door glass in and I was wondering if the vent hole in the big pane of glass goes in the front or rear. I think it goes toward the front, but I figured I had better ask you pros. And the big part of the gasket goes towards the outside ?  Thanks !!  Tony
