Hi all,

I just got an old Pepsi Vendo V-148 that is pretty sorry shape that I want to attempt to restore. I have a Cavalier CSS-64 that is in great condition and I couldn't help myself when I saw a junky one that I could try to restore.

But the problem I have is that I don't have the key to the lock in this V148. My local locksmith wants upwards of $100 bucks for picking the lock and getting me a new key, and I found a new lock on ebay for 12 bucks, that I ordered hoping that it would fit...

It will probably take a week or so for the new lock to get here and I'm want to play with my new toy, so I'm itching to drill the lock, but I was just looking for advice that I *would* be able to get a new replacement lock for this machine if I destroy the old one.

Can anyone confirm that this lock:

is the right size for a V148 and if not is it possible to get one that is?

Thanks in advance,
Max

I can't confirm for you, (I'm sure someone will) but I was in the same boat with my V56, and the key for my car steering wheel lock fits biggrin

If your V 148 has a standard "T" handle style lock housing, it will fit fine. this is the kind of lock assy. that you first unlock the handle which pops out so you can unscrew the door to open it.

Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon!

"Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.
