help

I just picked up a decent WE-6, but its missing a few pieces.

1) The metal vented cover for the compressor area shown here...

2) The glass that goes into this area (circled) or the whole piece if need be.

3) The handle for the lid, just to the right of the circled area above.

So far the cooling system looks to be far from functional and I have no plans to refurbish it so, I am willing to trade that out if anyone is interested.

There are some other small misc. pieces inside that I may need, but right now I just want it to look complete from the outside and keep stuff cold with ice for back yard BBQ's

Pictures coming soon

Welcome aboard!! Looks like you have a very workable cooler there. Have you checked with Funtronics or The Soda Jerk Works yet to see it they have any of the parts you need? If not, I'm pretty sure that somebody here will either have the part that you need or have a lead on them. Let us know how it turns out!

Fun-Tronics does carry a repro handle (301) 371-5246
I'd bet Randy at Nostalgic Restoration has an extra compressor cover (417) 485-4165
Could you just get a 1/8" piece of glass cut locally or are you missing part of the assembly as well?
Compressors are a hard sell - Creighton might be interested in it, but not sure if that is something he needs for his WE-6.

Thanks for the leads, I'll check into them.
I'm sure if I'm missing anything other than the glass as I can't ind a decent picture to go off.

As for the compressor, selling it isn't a must do. I just know I'll never use it and am pulling it out.

Thanks again.

In that case, all I need is the glass.
Now on to what is under it that your are looking at.

Thanks for all the help.

Now on to what is under it that your are looking at.

There was an "ICE COLD" button covering the water circulator and you could see the water moving around.

Looks like I need the Ice Cold button then as well...

As promised, here's what I have.

Any input as to what I'm missing and where to find it would be great...

Thanks in advance.

The ice cold button is actually part of the cover for the motor that circulates
the water below.
But, since you won't have the water, and you don't have the motor, or the cover,
or the ice cold decal for the cover, or the glass to view it all............ maybe you should
substitute the glass for a piece of stainless steel to match the front lid, and hide it all.
