Vendo63 questions please

Hi Everyone

GP from England.

I posted in general a couple of days ago of a vendo63 i picked up
last week.

It has now had a bit of a clean up and an inexperienced look over.

The machine seems to cool and cycle OK.

The vend gate opens and closes as it should when the solenoid is held
open manually.

The coke sign on the front lights up when switched on.

The coin mechanism is dead but knew that when i bought it.

Hopefully will have  repalcement coin mech by the end of the week
after having called every coin mech supplier in the UK it seems!!!!!

Right, I have some questions that are hopefully pretty straightforward.

should it have a bulb/light socket in the top of the bottle/can door?
    i just have a circular gap? there are two wires coming from the top
    the main door liner to this gap, i cannot believe that this was as it
    was wired originally? what kind of bulb light is missing here?

[ii] there are wires coming from the jones plug that is severed in the pix.
     there are also  wires coming from a bulb in the main door that end in
     a connector. am presuming that these two were originally connected?

[iii] connected to [ii] above.
     the bulb lens in the main door says if lit make another selection, was
     this intended originally as out of stock light for intended selection, if
     so how did this operate and can I reset this or should i blank it out?

GP The Light socket in your's does not look right,
 the one in Glen's is correct, looks like some one just put
one in and ran the wires for the main light .
