John thought I should let you know about the rivet and how I installed them.
When you have your lid for you Ideal 55's  reskinned and they dont reinstall
the lid hinge's this is the the Tool you will have to install these tubular rivets with.
What you will need is 6 tubular rivets & the HT 174 Hand Clincher
then you will need to drill out the holes (I keep the hinges on and used a pencil to mark
the holes) I took the hinge off and  sliped the rivet in through the hinge and the lid
and used the anvil on my bench vise ( wood top work bench does not work) two hit
with my BIG hammer and it was set, then just repeat. it was real easy to do.

You can find this at Graiger or go to www.hansonrivet.com
you can also get the rivet's at True Value hardware  or you can
order from Hanson  True Value  was .10 cents each for the Rivets
the Hand Clincher was  $41 and some change those  (True Value did
not have the Hand Clincher)
 It was worth.
