Anyone out there want to take a stab at this?  I have narrowed down the choice and want to get input?  Does anyone have a good one that does not need a ton of work or possilbly a new or restored one?  Got to have a slider!  Help. help

My Royal Crown Ideal 55 slider is pretty nice.  It's under classified.  Rick

Both models are nice, but what's most important is getting a complete machine, parts exchange between the two machines, except the lids & the racks, ideal-35's are harder to find racks for, a missing rack for a Glasco-50 can set you back between $150-250, (this rack also fits the Ideal-55.  like you said, you're not looking for a ton of work,

value? Ideal-35's are more pricey than the Glasco-50's, but you may be able to land a genric (non-embosed) Ideal-35 reasonably, but if you like the Coke brand, you'd probably be happy with the Glasco-50 & a nice fish-tail coca-cola logo.

I like RC Guy's Royal Crown slider and if it were local I would consider it in a heart beat. But a word of advise to the guy actually buying a soda machine. Buy the one that you really want, even if it cost you a few dollars more. I wouldn't want you regreting your purchase later on. So if you are looking for an embossed Coca Cola, then get an embossed Coca Cola and don't settle for the one with a Coca Cola decal (non-embossed) instead, trust me, you'll regret it later.

Good luck on a embossed Coca Cola, Ive been looking for one for over 3 years, In the 3 years of my search only one has popped up and I missed it by a few minutes. Heres some pics of a Pepsi Ideal 55 that I built last year.

Joey

I know you have shown that before but its a real work of art.....

Pat had a lovely 7up one recently that sold for a song...

I'd love one. I think they are great machines. Good looking and so versatile. Was thinking of buying one whilst in Boston and launching it into the Atlantic and rowing back in it. Its about the only way I'm going to get one....

Joey,

That machine looks fantastic!  Did you restore that one?  What would one like that cost?  I just want a slider!!!
