I'm gonna go with Sodaman101 and weld a piece of flat heavy gage metal to the stem.

I remembered where I saw the dolly.
Look on page 61 of Walter's 3rd edition.
It has pictured a Dolly Option for the Westinghouse Standard and Master coolers.

Can't imagine that would cost much money?, 4 peices of angle iron, and find a guy to weld it together?... but I shouldn't speak before looking into it I guess?

I have to agree with John that it couldn't be that much...I seem to recall a welder telling me $25 for 10 spot welds, but the older I get the less accurate my memory is.
the casters are probably going to be your biggest expense!
But...it is your baby and you do what you think is best or like best!
