60 bucks. Not known if it runs.

Few questions

1)Was that a good price?

2)Can the rack be used on an older slider?

3) Does that wood grain come off? If it does I can paint it pepsi blue and order decals for it.

All of the cornelius' I have had are painted woodgrain. Just sand it down and respray. The rack will only work in a Cornelius. Trust me I have tried it. If it runs you did great. If not you will probably break even or make a small amount in parts. If it works they are really great little chests. They are small and use very little energy. It is a great back porch machine. I have owned about a dozen of them. They look really good repainted.

It looks complete to me and it has the nicer chrome rack. Later they went to a brown painted rack that isn't as nice. I like your Corona Idea

Forget all these cheap machines you have been asking us about
and step up to the plate and get an ideal 55 or Cavalier 72 to restore.
You are ripe to be doing a restoration and seem to have your
heart into it. You're looking for a project....good!  Dump your time
and money into a machine that is desirable on the resale market because
then you can sell it at any time at a profit and start another one.
Don't purchase this Cornelius for appreciation value in our lifetime!

Well i am getting it for my patio. I know what you are saying and I am working my way to that. I am getting experience working on the cheap stuff. Its better to make mistakes on a cheap machine than a cav 27 or vendo 81, the cheap stuff has been good to me too. I have sold some cheap machines and have made a profit. 60 bucks for a machine is no big deal. I would really love a cav 72 or 27 to restore, I just can’t find one locally.  I am still green in this hobby but I will get a nice machine to restore and will need your advice so don’t worry.

I agree they might not be much for resale but they are really well built machine and for setting  out on your front porch how can you go wrong. They really don't look bad when they are done.
I agree with you on starting small and working your way up. After all these square tops are going up in price. The last restored machine I sold was a Cavalier 64 and it went for around $1,500. You can't beet that for a square top.

I actually like the Cornelius Bottle Sliders myself.  I've been thinking about picking one up. If anybody has one in reasonable shape that works and has all the parts that they want to sell, let me know at cpepin1 at hotmail dot com. If you're in Wisconsin or Northern Michigan, I can pick it up, otherwise I'm willing to have it shipped if the price isn't too much for shipping.

Last month someone gave me one cause they were cleaning
out the garage. I tried E-bay with no bids so I gave it away.
Just too much plastic in them for me.
