Like many of you, I have a family and young kids so I have to plan way ahead!  I got the go ahead from the wife last nite on Chicago so obviously I wanted to check to see who can I hang out with!!!  We've talked about this for a while and said we'd shoot for the fall show in 2007, so here it is... I haven't checked on rooms and such yet so not even sure what's available. SHow is November 9-11th, but if you wanna find anything you gotta be there Thursday night as dealers show up and then start unpacking on Friday morning at sun-up. I am thinking of going Thursday night and most likely leaving on Friday nite or Saturday Morning, depending on who's going and when and what kind of trouble we get into!!

SO... thoughts, who's going etc....

Nice Place !! We need to all meet up there for breakfast or something?

I have a duck hunt planned for the following weekend and, hopefully a whitetail deer hunt in Texas sometime this winter, so those will be using up my hall passes.

Possibly will be going.  It is all going to depend on how the "play money" looks as it gets closer.  Right now I will say yes, but that may change at any given moment.

Jim,
Normally archery season is usually much earlier. Rifle deer season opens early Nov. in Texas. I would think VA would be same or earlier than TX.

Tom,

The area(s) I hunt in VA doesn't open general gun until around the second week in Nov.. I'll archery hunt during muzzle load season but have some reservations during general gun season... I'm an archery only hunter, at least right now... Perhaps, one day when I can't pull my bow, it'll be time to switch to something easier, a rifle...
