Time and time again I see item descriptions for soda machines stating " I don’t know if the machine works because I never plugged it in" or " it was working last time I used it 5 years ago but I don’t know if it still works because I don’t have the time to plug it in" and the best one yet " I was told it works but I dont know because I never plugged it in. Seems like some good old bull to me. How much effort does it take to plug in a machine? Sorry for the rant, I just had to tell someone.

Translation: Not only does it not work, I'm affraid to even plug the sucker in for fear it'll burn the house down!

I like the ones that say "can't test because cord is cut." And in the pics you can see a freshly cut cord coming from the machine.

Of course they tried to plug the thing in - who is that dang stupid. If you can state the machine runs/cools it is worth piece of mind and a few more $$ to the buyer. But, there is a sucker born evry minute.

If the dog chews up line cords, is it's name "Sparky" or "Smokey"

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Actually, it is somewhat a good thing when sellers say this. A small percentage of the machines I have owned have had non-working compressors - once they are cleaned up and rewired, they run great. Bid accordingly and you might get a cooling machine at a good price!
