Funny thing, my wife and I went out to price a new stereo system for "Black Betty" and, huh...well...I found a new stereo, but it had this wrapped around it.

This is a limited production (only 500 made) Boss 302, Saleen/Parnelli Jones, special editiion mustang...#119.

I think Black Betty is jealous...

Some more...

Also notice the signed dash, both Steve Saleen and Parnelli Jones.

VERY nice!  We got a GT Conv. at the end of April and love it.  Your Boss is sweet! Nice ride!

I was just thinking to ask you to post a pic under the hood and voila!  There it is!   '<img'>

There you go. It's a true "shaker" hood design. The engine is a  4.6L that's been bored and stroked to 302 cubes. All the work came from Saleen, out of Irvine CA.. 400 hp @ 6000 rpm.  0-60 in 4.7 sec. and 1/4 mi  13.2 sec @ 107 mph.   At least that's the specs on it.

That Shaker hood looks great on that along with the louvered rear window.
Not that it really matters, but what stereo do they have in that?

Saleen motor build article, Parnelli Jones Limited Edition Mustang

Above is a great article on what went into the 500 motors built by Steve Saleen.

Dan,
It's Ford's (I assume)..."Shaker" stereo system

What is above the signatures?  Gauges?  Temperature and...?  That's different.  Boy that's nice.

We have the Shaker 1000.  When we were taking it home my son mentioned that his seat was shaking.

Dan, the guages are oil pressure and oil temperature.

Plus full guages on the dash as well.  Good stuff all around...
