2 door, 4 door, engine size will all have a huge impact on price. I dont know value but its worth something even only if it becomes a parts car.

Now that's a real car !  These old cars are bringing good money now days.  Like everything else it depends on condition.  Got pictures?  Is it all original, engine, paint interior etc. ?

I don't think the Meteor is a red hot collectable but the "right" one could be.  They had some hot rod options back then that might ring up the cash register.

Some of the cars in that era are running from $7500 to 15,000.  It just depends !

What are they asking?

Havent gotten pics yet, hubby wouldnt buy it so we passed on buying. But hubby has a cousin that is interested.

I'll let ya know what happens to it. I was wondering what it's worth and if anyone even likes these cars.

They are great cars. It is one on my "someday" list. Big thing to be careful about is it missing any trim or interior parts (hard to find replacements). They are based on the Falcon so the major parts are reproduced/available. See if you can post a pic and some more info. If running 2 door, no rust all there at least 1100. Really hard to tell without more info.

Good background info.  I was thinking more of the Mercury Comet that came out a little later.  The V8 cars are pretty hot sellers and bring good money.  I can't remember when I last saw a Meteor.

Old cars are like these soda machines, addictive !  I wish my wife was trying to get me to buy one.

My high school wheels...... a 64 Mercury Comet so I can relate.
Any car that is 45 years old and has only 45,000 mile deserves
respect.
That being said, I wouldn't buy one of these cars as a daily
driver.  They don't have nearly the comforts of our modern rides.

Growing up in my dads body shop and around cars early on, just brings back lots of memories.

He was always tinkering on something and I picked that up from him. Guess I should have been a boy. Cause I love anything mechanical. Love taking stuff apart and putting it back together. I

know my limits and if its too much and hubby is around I'll ask for help but if I can do it I will.
