I understand that these are as rare as rocking horse poo. So what are the chances of two turning up on Ebay at the same time.

The chap who is selling this has what must be one of the most extensive collections of 1950's Americana anywhere. Worth looking at his webiste.

Glen isn't this the one that is in your shop???

Read the description and your firend doesn't sound veyr well. Talk about being kicked in the balls when a man is down.

Wow! Sad to hear. Too bad some wifes do not understand collecting. I know my wife still does not fully understand why I have all my 7up stuff.

I talked to this fellow in Ca a couple of months ago when he had this machine listed along with some other really nice machines. Some Mills, Glascock, and some nice Coca Cola Menu boards. Sad story though he said if he passes away before his  wife she is just going to sell everything at a gararge sale. He collects more than just Coca Cola items he also had some old rare radios he was selling back then.  Few wifes fully understand why we collect I know mine still doesn't.

He called me just before releasing this listing and I advised him that another one had just popped up.   Just coincedence.
Also told him not to put so much medical info, but said he just wanted to vent. I see him weekly, and if he had'nt told me he was ill.........I would never even today!

His wife was complaining to me one time about Garry buying Coca Cola stuff, she thought was a waste of money. Things they can't even use, just to look at.
I agreed that this was probably as unwise as spending on quality jewelry.

I have talked with Garry too about a year or so ago for about an hour...
One thing I don't understand and maybe Glen you can help with this since you know him better... Being that he is a Collector and loves this stuff... and knows he won't be around long...why would he leave it up to his wife to disperse the stuff at a Yard sale... Maybe he should price is stuff a little lower and sell it to guys /gals like us who appreciate it...this way it will continue to be cherished by us collectors and not some guy who happens buy the garage sale someday and puts that 10,000 Coke Rocker clock(which is awesome), in the barn or hangs it on the back porch in the rain cause he only paid 25 cents for it at some garage sale (would love to be that guy)

On the other hand, maybe is trying to sell to pay for medical bills, and I dont' know the who story... just a thought.

Oh, guys he will be around quite a while. He has been joking about this garage sale thing for years.

Should something happen, I have been appointed to dispose
of what's remaining at prices that are in the best interest of his family.
I have the Icy-o here again and just need a few brass parts
back from Garry and I will post the finished pictures in the next week

I was going to suggest to you that very same appointment.

Wives never understand any male obsession.
I have a friend who is deeply into trains.
He turned his whole basement into a train room with tracks running everywhere, towns, etc..
I have another friend who has a massive gun collection (he is not married).
My older brother has a little bit of everything from an old Popeye gumball machine
to a 15' neon dragon that used to hang outside of a Chinese restaurant in Dallas.
I think they (wives) put up with it because it keeps us out of trouble.
To each his own!  '<img'>

Glen, glad to hear you'll be finishing up the Icy-O Counter Top model.
Don't forget a couple of photos for the Site...
I'll be sending the Service Repair Certification back your way later this week...

My wife and I are in a little different siduation as she collects STUFF too! Fortunately, it isn't big items like, soda machine, jukeboxes, gas pumps and pinballs/video games...

My six cents,

Jim
