What model coin mech is it? Many of the older ones have a rectifier circuit which by definition requires a capacitor to smooth out the voltage. The capacitor is typically electrolytic type and these are only designed for a life of 10 years. If this blows up (quite likely) you will have no power.

I'm not much on newer stuff, but I had this laying around for the coin mech...
I only know that this is a Coinco FPB-9800 electric schematic and maybe it will beof some use...
