Powder coated on outside of machine?

Question for all of you??? I had a guy tell me today that he had a machine powder coated and not blasted and painted on the outside and it looks great. Anyone ever powder coat their machines instead of primer and paint? How do they look? I have heard of insides powder coated, but outside as well??

The reproduction westinghouse junior's are powder coated on the outside. It looks good but is slightly pocked looking.

What does everyone think? Is this a good way to go or stay with the primer and paint method? I am thinking of having one of my machines powder coated in white, but not sure what to do.

You would'nt want a powdercoated machine displayed next to
your restored machines, like Josh said.........looks like orangepeel.

      Also, you won't be able to fill any dents or rust pits because of
the high heat this process involves will melt the filler, I would assume.

Thanks for the tips. The cooler I am thinking about is in good shape, no dents, however I think I will pass on the powder coating and just have it painted. Better and I know what I am getting that way.

Glen's right the heat cure would cause shrinkage in the body filler and we all know shrinkage isn't good!  '>  '>
