QUOTE Sorry about going off like I did earlier , It was not right . It just get a little frustrating to see it jump like that for no reason. Pat There is a reason Pat
it's called greed. I live outside the Motor City, we have no mass transit, and no one I work with is near me to car pool to work.
I can understand if the cost is higher for the owner, he has to pass it to the customer, but to raise the proce 30 cents in an afternoon, without receiving a new shipment, or rzising it when it is reported OPEC raised their price, though a barrel of oil purchased today doesn't show up in your tank as gasoline for 2 years is gouging, pure and simple.
Ok, off my soapbox now.

Right now we are at 1.15 a liter which works out to 4.36 for a US gallon. If you are wondering where here is, its Calgary Alberta Canada. I think we are at the lower end of the fuel costs for Canada. I'm not to upset I drive an 06 Duramax and Diesel is pretty steady at 0.93 a liter or 3.52 US gallon which isn't great either, but at least it didn't go up for the weekend

About time you all realize the root of the problem is that we Americans have to have are Excessively large gas hog vehicles so we can boost our own feelings of inadequacy and dominate the person with a smaller vehicle. Lets see how high they go, and how much your willing to shell out to be a tough guy OR gal in your monster vehicles. Trucks should have to meet the same mileage requirements as cars. Bush will never let it happen with his "Oil Buddes" and the automakers clout.

Nice Duramax Chris!
Cormy...I don't feel inadequate at all. My truck isn't an extension of my Pen*s. In fact, if I didn't have my truck, I wouldn't be able to do my job, haul loads like compressors, freon, machines, take my family camping, deliveries, etc.. Fedex and UPS...when you are shopping Ebay, how do you get your deliveries? How do you think Wal-Mart gets the Chinese made products to the store? It all takes fuel...one way or another. Have a better idea, let's hear it.
You find me a 1 ton truck that tows 18,000 lbs and gets the same mileage as a Toyota or Nissan, (rice burners), I'll buy it...period!
I don't have a problem using "bio-diesel"...make it available, please. I also posted above about E85, do you drive a Hybrid or Flex Fuel? Are you doing your share? When you get into a wreck, I'll pass on a can opener so they can get you out!
It's not about who drive the biggest...it's about where we're getting our fuel oil...the Middle East and our families safety! I say keep it here at home.
Spotted owl...the Houston Zoo is a nice place '>

I too own a few trucks, it would really be heard to stuff a few soda machines or dirt bikes into the back of a car.

QUOTE I too own a few trucks, it would really be heard to stuff a few soda machines or dirt bikes into the back of a car. Not just that.... A family with 3 kids now needs a suv or van with all the car seat laws and everything else... I've got 2 kids, and with the sports and other stuff they need day to day, you need atleast a mini van or truck. Back in the day, you could cram a few kids into the back seat or trunk of a car... now, you'd get locked up if someone isn't wearing a seat belt..
