smaller one is missing the cap catcher.. don't know if they repro it.... Westinghouse bow out chest 6 case verticle?... not sure what it's called... Not a bad cooler $200 seems far though again would need the cap catcher... would be great for a patio by the grill.... Check them out in person.... good luck the other too big for my taste.. lids would swap out so be sure to get the best set of lids if you bought the smaller one.

Fun-Tronics sells repro cap drawers. Several different kinds though - you have to measure the width and height of the recessed area. 6 1/2" x 6" or 6 1/2" x 7" or 6 7/8" x 6 7/8"

Not bad for 200 each if you like them and have room for them... They typically are not too desirable I've found, as they do take up room, but as Eric said, they make great backyard coolers for the porch or deck!

The lids on the double cooler are each narrower than the set on the smaller cooler.
These are the most commnly found coolers so their demand is low, so value stays low. Painting is not easy because of all the embossed letters.
Many newbies tackle these, quickly realizing they have sunk more money into them, then they could ever expect to get if they sold it. These are the same people who get frustrated and never buy another soda machine again.
I say pass on these and let him sell them to a beginner!

The chest coolers are at a price to be sure , but I agree , if you'd like one for a stater project, they're fun, until you come to realize you have to paint the embossing!
if you're buying one for a personal project, I'd stick with a dry chest (air cooled) although the wet coolers are pretty flashy looking, they do require bi-weekly maintance to maintain the waterbath ( keeping it clean). but as an investment/resale they're a low margin item.

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

They are a lot of work but are worth it if you can hang with the project and get it finished.
Glen brings a good point, if you're going for resale, but if you like the box and plan on keeping it, it's worth what you are willing to put into it. These machines are large and the nice thing about them, you can put anything in them and use it as a refrigerator!
I sell a new, replacement, air cooled unit for the "wet" boxes. Not too many folks like the idea of 50 gallons of water in their homes that could leak.
