Picked up two more machines this past weekend, actually on Friday but didn't have photos till now. Fun stories. A week ago I checked Ebay one saturday and found a Glasco Slider near me about 4 hours, ending in 4 minutes, bidding was at 95.00. I put in a proxy bid and went back out to do yardwork. Came in later and found that I won it for 128 bucks!, then the guy emailed me and I told him where I'd be coming from and he said don't bother I am coming your way on Friday and he'd bring it with! Good deal!! THEN, back in February i found a lady who had a Vendo 81a listed on Craigslist out of Minneapolis for $5500. I told her that if (and when) she didn't get her asking price to see if she'd accept an offer. I threw out a really low offer and thought oh well. SO on Thursday evening I get an email asking if I was interested in the machine that I made and offer on and said yes of course and she said it's yours as long as you can pick it up on Friday (next day, 2 hours from me) I of course said can I be there by 7am!, so next morning up and on the road at 5am to head to Minneapolis, picked up a really nice Coke repainted red/white, original 81a. Complete and working! Overall it was a very busy Friday!!! but fun!

Also, does anyone repo the inner tray for the glasco slider... mainly need it so I can fasten the loading door latch to something, or can those be drilled to the side wall? No Rack was included, but for 128, who cares...

Great score! When it rains..it pours.
If that lady started out at $5500, how much could you have offered to sway her?
I have an extra powdercoated Ideal 55 shelf and reciever if you don't find anything local

QUOTE If that lady started out at $5500, how much could you have offered to sway her?
Back in Feb when she was at $5500, I flat out told here she was way too high and that she most likely would not get any takers, Still figured shed get some other offers. Never did and 3 months later accepted my offer of 1000. So I'm pretty happy with these two purchases. '>

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.
