I bet it is just dirty. The chrome at the bottom is actually Aluminum. It is an air intake for the cooling system so it gets dirty easy. I bet it will clean up.

Vendo 39s are a dime a dozen, just be patient. Ive personally had about 6 of them. There was one on ebay this morning for $500.00 BIN with no drum.
