Replacing main spring in small door coin mech, Vendo 81B. Can anyone tell me how many times I need to turn it before locking it into place?'<img'>

Victor,
I don't believe you cant wind it too tight.
By that, I mean I don't think you can make two revolutions
and have the shaft in the correct location for reassembly.
You want the coin slots facing up when you go to put the Rear Plate Assembly on.

Tip: Have those parts requiring lubrication lubricated before doing this step.
It is easier to do and done more efficiently than after reassembly.
Also, be sure the spring is not pinched by the shaft spacer.

I agree with Tom, the tighter you can wind that spring , the better........ for your crank handle to return.
