I plugged in my v-39 that I recently bought and it is freezing up. I assume the cabinet fan should run all of the time ( and it does), but the compressor does not want to kick out. I have adjusted the control - and even in the off position the compressor runs. Do I have a thermostat problem?? Any ideas??? THANKS

It could be the T-stat or it could be wired wrong. Does it have a wiring harness or is the wiring spliced together?

Unplug it from the wall, and disconnect one wire to the t-stat and isolate it. Then plug it back up and you will now for sure if it was a wiring problem or bad t-stat. More then likely, the t-stat contacts are stuck closed. Jerry

Hey Bob, Did you buy your machine from a guy in N. CA? I saw a post on ColaMachines concerning your problem, but it looks like it is posted by the seller.

Bob - if you can get the end of the t-stat loose, dip it in a cup of crushed ice water while the machine is running. If that doesn't kick it off you'll know for sure that it's toast.
