I just picked this machine up yesterday.
It is stamped as a USS 8-48. Why would
it be marked that when it should be an 8-64? '<img'>

Someone else here has one that is stamped 48. I think it was a Pepsi also. As we all know Cavalier made mostly Coke machines so maybe the 48 was a code for Pepsi?'<img'>

Yep, mine is stamped 8-48.  I asked that once too and never found out the difference.

Roger - looks like you're starting a USS collection.  There's a Coke version peeking in on your 2nd pic.  Do they both work?

I do have a collection. Both of these work great and I have 2 other Coke  Uss 64's I couldn't pass up.
I have to ignore some of them on Craigslist because I have so many square tops already. '<img'>

But sometimes they just follow me home  '<img'>    honest...

Dan
I read those threads and looked at your pics.
Identical machines right down to the trim. And they are trimmed different than my other 3  USS 64's. This machine was Pepsi from the start. You can tell.

Are you leaving yours or changing it?

I agree, it was Pepsi to begin with. I left it. It was pretty clean, just cleaned it up. I didn't like the color blue at the bottom of the door, so I changed that and made new labels for the knobs.
