I recall my dad telling me how he used to make and bottle root beer at home in the 20's.  I also recall how good the fountain sodas were I made as teenager in the 60's where I could add as much syrup as desired.  So is it practical to bottle my own Pepsi at home?  I have a couple of dozen bottles.  I can get syrup.  I can get caps and a capper.

I'd like to load my Vendorlator 27.  Am I dreaming?  Or is it doable?

TIA, Jim D.

It is very possible.
Some members here do it or have done it.
I do not think the carbonation lasts quite as long - a month?
So don't do up more than you can drink in a reasonable of time.
You can buy the little 8 oz bottles at the grocery store.
Sam's Club has them cheap for $11.00 a case or something like that.
The work fine in the VMC 27's and 33's,
but the thin glass doesn't hold the cold as well as the old thick glass bottles.

I have quite a few old cola bottles that I put through the dishwasher and fill them up from 2ltre bottles. Its cheap and works great for me. I do have a few people drinking so they are not in there very long. A couple of weeks max.

I did think about buying a carbonating machine and making my own but I don't think there is a great deal to gain doing this. Maybe taste but where I live its Coke or Pepsi out of a bottle or can. No variation. One day I'm going to have myself a REAL Coke made with real sugar.
