I got pics of the 39 today! I was suprised to see that it is a late model 39 with the chrome trim.
It is missing the crank handle and the slug rejector, but I think it is complete otherwise.
He says the drum is there, so I assume the rest of the inside is also.
Not the greatest pictures, but I can see a few dents.
I was thinking of offering him $300-$350. I think he'll take it.

The 110 I am hoping to get before Xmas and the 39 will probably be in January.
The good thing is I probably won't have any shipping or gas cost for the 39.
I have a friend who does business in the town it is in and he will simply pay,
pick it up for me and bring it back to me.

Ii agree with Eric, the drum alone is worth the investment.
It might even have the modified drum which allows for the longer necked bottles.

Well done.

Dave,
I have owned two of these late model 39's (still own one)
and both of them have had the redesigned drum.
If it is there like the seller says, then I would bet it is.

I go pick up my Pepsi V56ST (the $25 shipping from Missouri to Arizona machine) tomorrow.
I am also going to try to pick up the V39 from Craigs List as it is on the way. Hopefully we can strike a deal!

The VMC110 is going to be delivered to me via Eric's shipping. He's charging me $200.
Eric lives in Kingman, AZ - the machine is in Vegas - it is worth the money!
I'd spend $100+ in gas just getting there and back (5 hour drive one way).
Plus I don't have any "incidentals" while in Vegas. I'll have it in hand in a month or so.
I sent the seller cash payment today via USPS Registered Mail.

I'll post pics of them all as they arrive.
Oh - I should be getting the Victor C-14 early next week also.
I decided that I should wait on the restoration with the home expansion and all.

Busy man.

Great find on that VMC 110.

I bought that same machine, but the one I got looked like a bunch of kids hit it with some baseball bats.

Love the high of the hunt!

I got back from Tucson earlier.
Picked up the V56 - complete, straight machine.

Also bought the V39!
Main door is fairly beat up - cabinet has a dent in the bottom back right, but no holes (screws, w.f., etc.)
Need to check the cooling unit still!
Missing the crank handle and slug rejector.
When I first was looking at it, I noticed that the "fingers" for the ratchet weren't there. I then showed him how the drum would just spin.
Told him that considering the body, the missing parts - I pay him $300.
He said OK and then asked me if I wanted this case of King Size Coke bottles - I had the room and said sure.
There were also six 6 1/2 oz. embossed Coke bottles in the bottle drum.
When I got it home, I found the 3 of the 4 ratchet "fingers" behind the evap - just where I figured they were. Hopefully I'll find the #4 under the evap.
Still looking at it.
I will post pics soon.

Well - unless there is a "finger" stuck in the evap coils that I did not see, I am missing one.
Here are a few pics of the 39 - I cannot find any appreciable rust on it.

The condenser fan does not work - don't know about the evap fan..
The compressor starts right up. I could hear the fluids inside the compressor moving around.
How long can I let the compressor run with no fans?
Will the lines get cold or do I need to put a whole new harness on to test everything?
