Powder Coat vs. Original

I've been doing my homework here, what a great site with a lot of knowledge floating around.

To my questions...

The galavanized components in my Cavalier are in pretty decent shape. If I clean them up I know they'll look good and be original. I really like the look of the powder coating I've seen in some pics? If I powder coat do I lose value? '>

I allways say if it looks good don't worry abought . Your the one to impress .I have sevreal machines in Diffirent conditions . IF the shel'sare nice i only clean them with Simple Green .Then put them back .
But that only MY 2 cents ...

I use hammertone silver on all of my machines. Powdercoating is expensive. It looks good but it can also become brittle and flake off from the cold inside of a machine. I have never had any problems with the hammer tone paint. It looks great and holds up for a long time.

powder coating is over kill. I had my inner tub, door liner and shelves for my Cavalier 72 PC. They came out nice but for the price was not worth it. I should haved had them all painted hammer silver and gone out for a nice steak dinner and drinks with the left over money.

Silver hammertone is the only way to go. Very durable!!!
You can buy a Qt. at Lowes for 11 bucks.
