Vintage Vending is offering this brochure for auction. I know Fun-Tronics offered a can mechanism which had a selection feature.
I see ten V39's a week being offer on eBay, but I have never seen this feature.
Did it ever make it into production? I seems like some people then would have opted for this, but I guess most just upgraded to the multi-drink vendors like the 81 or 110, etc.

The more popular conversion by SV corp converted the V39 to an automatic type electric slantshelf vendor, and they do occasionally surface from time to time, as well as the V83 conversion too. but from the looks of this one, you'd have to drill a hole for the selection crank & then you'd only get a three-selection machine.

There was a similar conversion for the V-83 that included a clear lift door so a selection could be located prior to depositing money.

I think this is a similar concept in that the turn handle located to left can be rotated to locate a selection by viewing through the plexiglass cover. Once a selection is present in one of the three vending areas/holes on the V-39, deposit money and the plexiglass moves out of the way while rotaing the crank handle for bottle removal.

With this said, this can essentially be utilized as a multivend machine... I know the similar conversion on the V-83 with the clear lift door was a multivend conversion...

My six cents,

I am just surprised that with all the V39's that show up, I've never seen one with this modification. I would think that some owners would opt to have their machine multi-vend - even if it was only three selections.
There is another accessory to the 39 that I've never seen, which was a counter of sorts and counted the total number of vends. I am guessing the counter would assist in servicing and such.
