Last night when I was on e-Bay, I saw a listing for a Lyon 500 machine... the starting bid was $500.  The machine looked cosmetically nice.  There was some wear on the fiberglass top and the coin mechanism was missing... but, overall, was a good looking machine.  Today, when I went to look at the machine again, I couldn't find it... I wonder if the person pulled the auction from e-Bay because the machine might be so valuable.  How much do you think a machine like that would fetch?

Welcome to the site...

If you do a search, you will find a few posts from the first time that machine was listed on ebay a few months ago...  The auction got pulled from ebay, not because it was such a valuable machine, but because it was a scam auction..

Coolcat, Welcome aboard. That Lyon machine has some drama to it. Although I would buy it if the price is right. '<img'>

Thanks for the heads-up...  I was wondering whether a potential buyer would be able to protect himself if the auction were a scam (only through PayPal, I guess).  My question was mostly out of morbid curiosity.

I posted a couple of times a while back... apparently, my userid was retired due to inactivity.  I was working on a C-51.  By the way, I have it working finally.  My machine is in near-original condition.  I replaced my compressor and condesor deck with one of Eric's units.  It's working beautifully.  I'll post a couple of pics in the next day or two.
