I ran across an old cup vendor the other day. It's a Cole-Spa C-6 a 6 selection soda vendor( and yes it's in working order!) and I'm not up on this type of machine, I know they're generally not as popular as bottle & can machines but, it is kinda neat! any ideas on what this might go for? it's looking for a new home. so let me know what you think '>

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Johnnie, don't know anything about it either , but I think it looks cool !!!!!!!!!!! Lots of chrome & round corners. Would have made Jeff Walters book of rare finds. Does the soda sign look to be factory or add on? Glen

Yep it an O.E.M (original equipment manufacter) sign, however whatever brand that was on the glass is missing and the panel is a plastic replacement, but hand-painted, as I said it's looking for a new home! it has a built in carbonator that uses an external tank of CO2, and it holds a max of six syrup tanks inside, I'm thinking it's a '40's machine with an art deco flare in the design, maybe someone will fill us in.

I have to agree with Glen, very cool looking machine! I would say late 40's early 50's... Does the sign light up too?
Have never seen one of these machines, nor heard of the manufacturer.
Would you remember to take a few photos the next time you move it away from the wall. And don't crop any part of the machine. If you didn't mind, I would like to have a good photo of this machine as well as its dimensions...

here's a side shot, trouble is it's so close to a wall of other vending machines you can't get far enough back to gett a good 3/4 shot. size wise it's about the size of a vendo 81 tall and not as wide as a V110 I want to get a good look at that sign too, & see if it's an "add-on" to the front of the machine. Just gotta convince the guy to move the thing out into the open.

OK Just an update on this puppy, the light-up sign was added buy the manfacture at a later date to "spiff it up" and pull more attention to the machine, underneath there should be a round mirror that was back-lit check out Jeff Walters 3rd. edition Field reference guide, page No.305 and you'll see it's little brother the Cole-Spa C-3! I'm going back to peek behind the light-up sign and see if it's still there! (the mirror that is!) I'm assuming the model C-3 had a simular Maroon/Silver two-tone paint job,(as the pic in Jeff's book is only Black&White).
