Ferretts!!!!

My daughter, who is 21 and in college and still lives with us has 2 ferrets in my room, i repeat, my room with my rockola!  well these little weasels decided that they were going to chew through the power cord!  too bad they did not get zapped!  upon inspection, i had to peel down about a foot in order to get to good wire that had no dry rotted insulation.  spliced a doner plug into it an it all works fine.  how i found out is that i went in to buy a beer and all of the flippers said that they were out!  ha

You also confussed me at first.  I was wondering why you were posting about your jukebox in the  Post 60's Machines & Coolers section '> .  Then I remembered, some of us have Rock-Ola jukes and others have Rock-Ola pop machines!

Thats kinda wierd that a ferret chewed through the power cord. They don't normally do that. They are great theives, but don't usually chew things. If you have any dry rot, you better change the whole cord, not just splicing into the original...

it could have been that they just got back there and partied around the cord and the dry rot took over and broke it the rest of the way, just needed someone to blame.  they are caged, beautiful cage, but you gotta let them out for a couple of hours a day and that is when they get into stuff.  the one crawled up into the machine from the dispensing hole, i can't find the plastic door to go in front of it, and he crawled all the way up into the rack!  now i have a beautiful cardboard and tape flap in front of it.  as soon as she finishes college she and the weasels will be outta here!  love her but ya gotta let go!!
