Great Find on the RT 56... Great machines... I love mine... Compressors are an amazing thing... My Jacobs 26 was sitting in a barn/shed for 30 some years when I found it.. Plugged it in to test it , had to give the fan motor a little nudge and blast of wd 40 and the thing cooled down to 30 degrees in 30 minutes... and that was with Bad gaskets and air leaking out everwhere... Amazing how these things can hold refrigerant!
great Score... now we need a Big Score for the "UPPER" Midwest!!!!

Well the seller did reply to some emails, He was in Granite City IL. Tried, but hard to do as I'm OTR driver that was in CA at the time. Glad to see that you got it, and not some one going to flip it on ebay.

Thanks Charlie. I'm definitely not going to flip it. Go ahead and Email Mike again and he will tell you I was the 1st to Email him. When he did call back almost 24 hours later and we struck a deal I would have gone right then and there to get it but it was my wifes birthday. I didn't want to be on her %$#@ list. I don't ever mention that I am after a particular machine here on the boards till I lost it or passed on it. That was one #### of a night sweating over whether the seller was a man of his word or not. He was but you gotta know I did not read your post and go after it. I have the Craigslist bookmarked at work and at home. Some of my finds (Not Coke related) were because I refreshed the screen and saw something and got the 1st email in. Once responded to I jump in my van and get it. In this case I emailed him 1/2 hour after he posted the ad. I wanted to insure that it wouldn't get away so I offered a Cardinal Baseball Neon sign and told him if he would hold it for me I would give him that, providing the machine was complete.

You are lucky Audio.... I think I would have turned it... Craiglist is a favorite of mine now too Ha... you guys have me believing now. I'm just gonna hunt for a Stoner and a Wayne 60 though (wow how many times can I stress those two items...)
Tough collecting this stuff especially when you have someone you know living close... I gotta a close friend that collects Orange Crush and advertising stuff... it's both fun and stressful when we “go hunting” together.... he goes down one isle at a junk store and I down another isle..... sometimes I picked the right isle and a few times he picked the right isle. '> Charlie your machine is out there! Hang in there.... About 10 years ago I went to look at a Vendo 44... As his wife let me into the kitchen he was hanging up with the “new owner”..... I missed it by minutes!!!!!! Aghhhhhhhh!!!
And to make it worse... it was complete, straight and $450!

Oh the saga of "the one that got away"... If I didn't know better, I'd swear I was listening to old fishing stories...
