Well, its here... I picked up my Embossed Pepsi machine this morning... I gotta say thanks to Eric and everyone that helped make my descision to persue the machine... its pretty darn cool. Its in pretty good shape, however someone has repainted the machine the light color blue it is now. The dark blue color is in the coin door and around the gasket surface... I plugged the machine in when I picked it up and all worked fine. 3 of us lifted the machine into the truck and stood it up for the ride home. I got the machine home and was playing with it for a few minutes, testing bottles and stuff. I had a bottle fall right through the rack and come crashing on the floor, so apparently I am going to need some info on this machine when I get ready to work on it and use it. I then plugged it in, and I blew the circuit breaker. I reset the breaker, and when I was going back to the machine, I touched it and got zapped. Apparently, I need to change the wiring harness. Its all dry and stiff. I am only going to work on one machine at a time, and right now my VF56 is in pieces and I am doing some paint prep. I need to finish that machine before I start on this one. Anyway, here are some pictures of my new toy...

One thing I could not get is the vend mechanism to work, but I may not have had enough stock in the machine. I only put a few bottles in one rack and it still showed as sold out.

There are a few small dents on the right side of the machine. I don't think I care right now, but depending on the outcome of the VMC I am planning on painting, I may tackle a restore on this one next. At that time I'll worry about fixing the dents... The machine also has a handle on the back side of the machine, which made it real nice to load it into the truck...

Yeah ! Love that machine... Looks nice though no seriuos rust and the mech looks like it'll
shine like new with a little elbow grease.
Now hopefully one will pop up here in Missouri for that price!!!
Great Score! It'll be your favorite!

There is no rust to speak of on this machine. It does need a good compound and waxing, and it will look pretty good. When I was talking to the guy this morning, he said the idea to sell it came from an antique shop in town that had the same machine on consignment. They were asking $1200+ for it and it wasn't in as good a shape as this one according to him.
