Good Luck Mate.
Just look upon it as a whole new market to exploit. There MUST be an abundance of old Soda Machines out there that people are literally taking to the dump and getting rid of EVERYDAY.
Don't you wonder too far from this forum making money. When I begin my restoration of the Jacobs I am counting on your expertise to see me through.

well I am here. Boy was that a long flight. About 26 hours total. I am a little jet lagged but not too bad. This is a really nice place. I haven't had any time to do anything yet. But this is a three day weekend so we are going to get some partying in this weekend. I snapped a pic from my window to share.

Glad to hear that you made it safe and sound, Josh. Good luck with everything there. Singapore has to be on of my most favorite places in Southeast Aisa to visit. I've been there a few times and absolutely loved it each time. Keep us updated and don't be a stranger!! Let us know what's going on and if we can help with anything.

I doubt it. Not here. They are really serious about everythiing being new here. Even cars must be destroyed after 10 years. I seriously doubt there are any old machines in this country. Also to import anything electrical like that it has to be inspected by the government first. It has to pass alot of tests to make sure it is to their standards which can take several months and alot of money. That is why I didn't bring an 81D with me. My father would love to have an 81 here and has checked into it several times but it is just too hard and expensive.

I went to a flea market in China town today and found some cool signs and coolers. I am probably going to go back and buy the oval sign. He wants S$100 which is about $75US. The button above it is a repop. Beside both of those but not in the pic is an NOS porcelain button that is in Chinese. It is really cool but he wants S$400 for it. I took a pic but it didn't turn out. The coolers are neet. The bottom one is just a metal box and isn't embossed. The top one looks like the skinny coolers we have but I think it is slightly bigger and the embossing is bigger. I didn't ask what they wanted for them but I bet it is alot.

Despite Josh's assurances, we knew it would take him just an hour or two to happen upon a whole new market of old Coke machines and stuff. You can't keep the boy down.
